Explore the Excitement of a Career in Law Enforcement

Explore the world of law enforcement at the PNW Kiwanis Youth Law Enforcement Camp, hosted at the Washington State Patrol Academy in Shelton, Washington.

​

The program is open to students who will be high school juniors and seniors for 2026-27 school year (current sophomores / juniors), with a strong interest in a law enforcement career.

​

This camp is hands on! Our courses include defensive tactical training, driving courses, firearms judgement simulations, and more, with the goal of providing a glimpse of the vast opportunities a career in law enforcement can look like.

In our 45th year, the KYLEC program has supported youth exploring careers in law enforcement. About 80% of our participants go on to be a LEO.

KYLEC is a non-profit program of over 45 years

The Kiwanis Youth Law Enforcement Camp is a 501(c)3 registered organization in Washington State. The Board appreciates personal, corporate or community service organization donations. Donations will be acknowledged and be used to support scholarships for students to attend future Camps.
